This last year I have come to know the wonderful uses of natural oils and all the different ways they can help you. I have tried tea tree oil, borage oil and now I am trying Krill Oil. I received a sample of Krill Oil from Everest Nutrition.
What is krill? Well krill is a little creature that lives in the ocean and is eaten by animals like manta rays and whale sharks; as well as baleen whales such as humpback, blue, and right whales. In Norwegian, the word “krill” means “whale food.”
According to WebMD, “Krill oil is used for heart disease, high levels of blood fats. high cholesterol, high blood pressure, stroke, cancer, osteoarthritis, depression, premenstrual syndrome, and painful menstrual periods…Krill oil contains fatty acids similar to fish oil. These fats are thought to be beneficial fats that decrease swelling, lower cholesterol, and make blood platelets less sticky. When blood platelets are less sticky they are less likely to form clots.
Of course before beginning any new vitamin regimen, one needs to discuss it with their doctor. Especially if you have any conditions or allergies that could be aggravated by fish or shellfish oil!
My joints are definatly feeling the benefits of krill oil!
