for-women-only
I received one copy of the text from the publisher. Despite any compensation or complimentary a items the opinion here is honest and my own.
A male friend of mine once gently lectured me about Cosmo magazine. He described it as “How to manipulate your spouse.” I wonder what he would think about the book I am reviewing now For Women Only, Revised and Updated Edition: What You Need to Know About the Inner Lives of Men By Shaunti Feldhahn
Other men I know said there is a lot of truth to the things in this book. I have been told that men can relate to at least one thing in this book.
I thought this was a pretty brilliant book. It is a short, quick read, which I personally think is great with these kind of self-help books. I have a short attention span and I quickly lose interest if something is too wordy or drawn out.
This book was written by a woman so she is able to understand how the information might be perceived by a woman and addresses that.
While simply reading a book definitely won’t solve every problem in a relationship. For Women Only I, can be a helpful tool for opening up new conversation and discussions between couples. I think this book could be helpful in plutonic male/female relationships as well if properly applied.
I believe that the best relationships are ones rooted in complete, and sometimes brutal honesty. I feel like this book is great for helping people understand one another.
I would also like to read the other books in this collection, like “For Men Only,” to see if I relate to the research findings in that text as well.
