I wasn’t sure what to expect from this book but I am so impressed by it. It is absolutely jam-packed with information and facts about colors and different techniques of watercolors.
I really felt like I learned a great deal about watercolor painting. I will be able to refer back to this book time and time again for when I have questions.
I learned a great deal about colors and pigments in paint, and the history of paint and the different mediums that artists have used over the centuries. I took a year of art history in college, and there were things I had never even heard of about how difficult it was to procure different pigments.
In our world today it is easy to just pop online and try to learn an art technique from an infographic or a video.
This is the kind of guide book that really proves that the print medium isn’t dead.
I would recommend this book to artists, both professional and amateur, advanced and beginner, as well as art teachers and students.
‘God told Jonah to obey, said, ‘Go to Nineveh this day.’ But, stubborn Jonah fled instead. Didn’t do just what God said.’ Jonah’s disobedience landed him inside a big fish! And there he had time to think and pray. Children will feel the waves and hear the splash as Jonah sinks ‘down and down and down.’ This story serves as an excellent reminder of how important it is to obey.
Told in a creative rhyming verse, this book is a great way to introduce young children to the Biblical story of Jonah. The story of Jonah could come across as a little alarming to some young children, the idea of being swallowed by a whale is pretty scary. However this text presents the idea in a gentle and positive manner.

In My Irish Table, sustainable food movement leader and four-star chef Cathal Armstrong celebrates the food of his homeland and chronicles his culinary journey from Dublin to Washington DC, where he runs seven beloved and critically lauded restaurants. Featuring 130 delicious recipes—from Kerrygold Butter-Poached Lobster with Parsnips to Irish Stew, Shepherd’s Pie, and Mam’s Apple Pie—My Irish Table draws on Armstrong’s Irish upbringing as well as his professional experience and French culinary training. In his hands, Irish food is comforting yet elegant, rustic yet skillful, and My Irish Table invites you into his kitchen to explore the vibrant traditions and rich culinary landscape of the Emerald Isle.
Myself, like many others, love to incorporate the food and recipes of different cultures and nationalities into their dining repertoire. Incorporating the food indicative of other cultures is a great way to connect with that culture. I have often looked into Irish inspired dishes for the cool autumn months as well St. Patrick’s day and other holidays. I usually find the same recipe for IRA themed car-bomb cupcakes which I’ve always found a tiny bit offensive.
Author Cathal Armstrong is a self made chef, who has incorporated recipes and techniques from his on the job training as well as the memories of his childhood in Ireland into over 100 different dishes.
Some of the recipes are not for everyone, like the black pudding made from blood or the gravlax with dill sauce. However, there are many that I think most people would greatly enjoy. I was especially amazed by the chapters on hearty soups, amazing breakfasts and delicious breads. He has even incorporated mince pies, corned beef, lemon cakes and of course, lots of potato recipes.
The photographs in this book are also really lovely and it is full of stories about where the recipes come from.
I am very excited to include these dishes into my dining.
Amicafox is the brainchild of 2 best friends who bonded over a love of travelling and timeless adventure as they experienced the wonder and beauty of our magical world. The brand was born during those exciting times, and naturally takes its pattern and directional inspiration from places of wonder and natural beauty across the length and breadth of our amazing planet. These include the Amazon rainforest, the Sahara desert, the Great Barrier Reef, Sedona, the pyramids of Giza and the ashrams of mountainous northern India.
The concept behind Amicafox blends and combines two strong and constant symbols in their lives – loving friendship and the sexy and fun vibe inspired by the fox totem. Amica is the Latin for loving friend, while the fox stands for luck and playfulness as well as combining the energies of mischief, magical allure and opportunity. It also stands for sassiness and style, foxiness, dressing up, for fashion’s ever-changing looks – the perfect combination for a new and exciting fashion brand.
Amica Fox is currently offering a fabulous selection of high quality and unique leggings and dresses.
It was really hard to choose a piece.
I love wearing leggings in winter and rainy day, and have been looking for more exciting ones than the black I usually wear all winter and fall.
I especially love the Om Ganesh leggings.
Utimlatly dresses are a weakness of mine and I received the RAWR dress to review. There was something about it that I just loved. The bold lion roaring on the front is so indictative of a strong person.
You can get one here: http://www.amicafox.com/products/dresses/rawr-dress
I am a size 6 and I got the large and it fits pretty perfectly. I feel really amazing and thin in this dress.
It is made of great material that helps flatter my curves. I love the cut of the top and love how it flatters my neckline.
The dress is short and daring, however, unlike many dresses, I haven’t had a problem with the dress riding up on me.
These clothes are definitely not for the faint of heart. They are made to be bold, and express your individuality. These are for women who want to stand out!The high quality of the cut of the dress makes it possible to dress it up or down according to your mood.
I would recommend Amicafox without hesitation!

Mia Tempo is Italian for My Time or Me Time. Which is central to the concept, this is a service for women who crave a little “me time.” Mia Tempo is a subscription box service that delivers a box every season for the purpose of getting the recipient a little Me Time.Mia Tempo was founded after the creators’ daughter suffered an adverse reaction to a name brand sunscreen. The family converted to all-natural and organic skin care products, and decided to start a company to share the vision with like-minded women.
Since starting my blog I have been blessed to be exposed to some incredible organic and natural products. I would have rolled my eyes at the idea that all natural and healthy products make a HUGE difference in your skin care regimen. Two years later and I have long eaten those words. I am a convert. While I would never call myself a skin care expert by any stretch of the imagination; I have definitely noticed a difference in my skin since using many more healthy ingredients into my beauty regimen.
I received a sample of Tea Forte tea. I am so impressed with it! I love tea and this was so yummy and relaxing.
My favorite piece in this, funny as it may be, is the loofa mitt. It really exfoliates and leaves your skin feeling great. I also got 2 items from Rinse company in the ginger lemongrass scent. One was a sugar scrub and the othwr was a body spread. The lemon scent wouldn’t have been my first choice, but it is pleasant and clean smelling. These products are a great quality. Rinse seems like a really awesome up and coming bath and body product company.
I also must say I was very impressed with Mia Tempo’s customer service; they were very polite, receptive, and responsive. The whole idea behind Mia Tempo is so brilliant, personal, and thoughtful. This would make a really wonderful gift for a girlfriend, wife, or sister.
