I was so excited to be able to work with Kiss Instawave in this review.
I was a tiny bit nervous when I first got the curling iron. I wasn’t sure if I could use it.
It takes a little getting used to, but once you know how it works and get the hang of it, it works just fine. It seems like a great option for people like me who aren’t skilled or talented with hair. I was so worried that I would get my hair tangled or frazzled or burned, but it is pretty easy to use. It gets quite hot quickly and was easier on my wrist than ordinary curling irons. I think my favorite thing was not having to mess with the clamp and getting the kink that I sometimes get when I use traditional curling irons.

Book Review: Essiantial Living

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Not long ago I purchased a fair trade body lotion. The stuff was great, but it smelled simply wretched. I went online looking for an essential oil that smelled nice and was good for skin. I searched and searched but I just couldn’t find an answer.

I have been interested in aromatherapy for some time, but it seemed like something I just didn’t have time or money to be successful at it. I have found a couple of Facebook pages that had links to recipes and they haven’t been helpful. Links are broken and you don’t get answers to questions. There is a lot of false or contradictory information in the vast stretches of our internets. It is so easy to get over whelmed and confused and you just want to give up. Then you don’t learn anything.

Enter Andre Butje and the Aromahead Institute School of Essiantial Oil Studies; who sent me a copy of this amazing book.

I have been simply blown away by this work. The book is so easy to read and use. It is full of amazingly helpful recipes for cleaners and body products.

The thing I have been most thrilled about how very genuine this publication is. Author Andrea has been teaching classes online and in person for quite a few years. This is clear when you read her book and visit her website. I feel like the author is there with me to help me. She isn’t out to sell me anything I don’t need. I feel like she really wants to help make my life better.

To purchase the book on Amazon go directly here:

Don’t go anywhere else for aromatherapy and essential oils. I know I won’t and will be learning from Andrea online for many years!

To further your studies in aromatherapy, you can enroll to become a Clinical Aromatherapist online. This program is approved by the Alliance of International Aromatherapists http://www.aromahead.com/
I truly admire the initiative of people who reach out to others with their unique abilities.

So back to my original dilemma, I simply opened my book and found the solution to my problem! Jasmine oil! Which I had in my supply! Problem solved!

Review- Krill Oil

This last year I have come to know the wonderful uses of natural oils and all the different ways they can help you. I have tried tea tree oil, borage oil and now I am trying Krill Oil. I received a sample of Krill Oil from Everest Nutrition.

What is krill? Well krill is a little creature that lives in the ocean and is eaten by animals like manta rays and whale sharks; as well as baleen whales such as humpback, blue, and right whales. In Norwegian, the word “krill” means “whale food.”

According to WebMD, “Krill oil is used for heart disease, high levels of blood fats. high cholesterol, high blood pressure, stroke, cancer, osteoarthritis, depression, premenstrual syndrome, and painful menstrual periods…Krill oil contains fatty acids similar to fish oil. These fats are thought to be beneficial fats that decrease swelling, lower cholesterol, and make blood platelets less sticky. When blood platelets are less sticky they are less likely to form clots.krill2

Of course before beginning any new vitamin regimen, one needs to discuss it with their doctor. Especially if you have any conditions or allergies that could be aggravated by fish or shellfish oil!

My joints are definatly feeling the benefits of krill oil!

Halftee Review

I was recently granted the opportunity to review Halftee.Check them out here.  http://www.halftee.com/
Halftees are a company that specialize in a layering top. They are comfortable and allow the person whois wearing it to feel like they can move without risking a wardrobe malfunction.
I chose the 3/4 sleeve length Halftee in black. http://www.halftee.com/collections/the-original/products/the-original-three-qtr-halftee

I was pretty thrilled with the performance of this top. In particular, the way it feels. It feels quality and comfortable.

I would hugely recommend these shirts to one particular group- dancers. In my experiences in theatre and dance, Many dancers are always looking for shrugs and other tops they can throw over a leotard. Many college dance teams, competitive teams and minor and major league sport dance teams require that women wear a cropped shirt that shows their tummy. Sometimes even a color is required, for example ,women trying out Kansas City Chiefs Cheerleaders need a cropped red shirt. A Haltee is a great option for such women, this is a top you could use at times other than the audition. They are basic enough they can be worn in performances.
I also know professional musicians who have to wear a lot of black, and cover their chests and arms. Halftee offers a lace version that would be perfect for them. Bellydancers would live in these!

Here are some of the looks I came up with.

I adore my fall out boy tank, but I hardly get to wear it. Now it has sleeves! (Ignore my derp face.:F)

For something dressier I chose this awesome thrift store dress.

Now I can wear it to dinner or a night out in a different way. It provides a whole new look, and I don’t have to worry about getting too cold, or fumbling with strapless undergarments.

Product Review-Diamond Candles

So, some time ago I discovered Diamond Candles.

Why is it called Diamond Candles?

Because as the wax melts, a ring appears!

A ring worth anywhere from $10-$5,000!

I have been itching to get one, but as a young college student, I am not always sufficiant in funds. 😦

However I found a link via the Diamond Candles Pinterest (http://pinterest.com/diamondcandles/ ) coupon code on a white chocolate scented candle.

Now I do have to mention, a partner of Diamond Candles got my email address and sent me a really obnoxious email before my candle came. I was a bit annoyed  but I contacted Diamond Candles customer support and they were awesome about it.

Now after what seems like much more than a few days……

It finally has arrived!

Now white chocolate would not have been my first, second, or third choice of scent. But I think Serendipity has a sense of humor because I LOVE this scent!

I honestly did not think it would smell this good. The scent is strong without being overwhelming.

Now for the REALLY exciting part….the RING!

Image See that gold dot? That is my ring in utero.

Now we light it.-

and play the waiting game……….

Image

It is extra flamey!

Some customers can’t wait and elect to dig it out with a spoon. I was determined to be patient.

Which is a test for me because I am VERY impatient!!!

Soon enough it was time for the ring!

Now I was going to be a good little blogger and get pictures of the whole process of pulling the ring out and showing it with the wax covered gold foil, but the foil tore and as soon as I caught a glimpse of my ring I was too excited to care about the pictures!

Bad Senna.

One one hand I didn’t get lucky because I could tell right away I didn’t get an expensive ring.

On the other I got lucky because I totally love it.

I am not really a big diamond fan because of the political upheavel diamond mining can cause.

Also, it’s the kind of vintage look I adore.

So Diamond Candles: great and fast customer service, fabulous, high quality scented candle,  a pretty jar I get to keep after the candle is gone, and a pretty little bit of costume jewelry.

My only complaint is the wick. It was a bit hard to light and to blow out as well. First time I tried I got wax on my dresser! 🙂 I would recommend getting one of those candle putter outters on a stick. 🙂

But I will definately be buying from them again!

This post wasn’t paid for by Diamond Candles. But if would like to send me another candle to review I would be happy to help!!!

Thanks for reading!
